Teresa Garrett was Your New Houses “Do it Yourself” expert for five years. In her first season on the show, Teresa tackled an amazingly wide range of projects. She’s shown viewers how to do everything from building a backyard water garden to installing a garage door opener. Teresa has shared dozens of other money-saving home improvement projects that viewers really can try, and do themselves.

Teresa grew up in a family of do-it-yourselfers. Her brother owns a construction business. Teresa and her husband spend a lot of time on home improvement projects around their own home.

In addition to her work on Your House & Home, Teresa has an active career working in Commercials and Industrial films and in network television. She has been featured on shows such as Walker Texas Ranger and Unsolved Mysteries and has appeared in commercials for General Motors, Nokia, Radio Shack and other nationally known manufacturers.

Teresa and her husband Mark have two sons. When she’s not hammering, nailing, sawing or pouring concrete, she enjoys riding horses, rollerblading, dancing, water and snow skiing and scuba diving.
